My math graph

 Kia Ora,

This week my maths create task was to walk around the neighborhood and do a telly chart of how many houses had chimneys and how many didn't then use the data to make a bar chart, this was our create because we are in lock down. I really enjoyed doing this because I had fun collecting the data, I also had fun making the chart because I have never done it, and it was fun to learn about something new. I figured out that 20 houses had chimneys and 25 didn't. Here is a photo of my chart:

I hope you like it. Have you ever made a bar chart?

  1. Hi Ruby

Thanks for sharing your maths create and great work too. I'm glad you enjoyed doing this task and that the weather was nice. Remember to give your graph a title and you could also label the axis ( each side ). I have made quite a few bar graphs over the years and more recently some didgital ones. Have you seen a digital graph?

  2. Kia ora Ruby,
Well done on completing your bar graph - it looks like you have counted quite a few houses. I have made a bar graph before - I used to love making them when I was your age as I loved to colour in the different bars. Mrs Finlayson advice around adding labels to the axis (lines) is a great idea.
    Miss Gill.
